The vineyards of Budureasca are located on the same geographical coordinates (44° to 46°) as famous wine regions of the world, such as Bordeaux and Burgundy. This means that the terroir confers the potential to produce extraordinary D.O.C. wines (controlled designation of origin), winners of numerous international medals.
The Vine in Flames is our collection of wines intended exclusively for the international market. All wines in this range are dry, bringing out the best characteristics of each variety. They are matured in oak barrels to gain complexity ad structure, and they are aged in bottles for at least four months before being launched on the market.
The legend says that, as the popularity of the excellent Dacian wines spread across the region, the Dacian king Burebista feared that his territories would be in danger of foreign attack. To stop this, Burebista decided to burn the vineyards, so no foreign invader could benefit from them.
Centuries later, we can all benefit once again from the vines of this area, regrown from the ashes of Dacian vineyards, and producing enviable, high-quality wines.
Budureasca Clasic collection containes red, white, and rose wines with an excellent price-quality ratio. The Clasic wines are fresh, young and modern style wines, with unique aromas, which are both affordable and suitable for everyday consumption or even for special events.
These wines are usually medium dry and are intended primarily, but not exclusively, for the medium-range retail market, where the demand for such wines is very high.
The name Budureasca was inspired by the history of these lands as an expression of the respect we have for our history. Dacian vestiges were found in the archaeological site near Budureasca vineyards, and this is a confirmation that the locals were growing grapes and crafting wines since the oldest times.
Bristena is our collection intended primarily but not exclusively for ladies. The packaging and vibrant visual elements on the painted-like label give these wines an air of feminity, and the flowers represent their sweet and very delicate aromas.
The wines in this collection are made from grapes selected from vines that are over 60 years old, giving great characteristics and good structure to the wines. They are all fresh, medium sweet with intense floral and fruity elements.
The name Bristena was chosen due to its Dacian connotation and meaning. It is said that Bristena was Dacians daughter, a brave little girl who helped Dacians to defend the country from enemies. The legend says that she even released from prison a large number of people, including her father.

Only the very best grapes are used to create these unique wines, which have extraordinary aging potential. They are manually selected and sorted from parcels where climatic conditions, soil, and sunlight exposure are ideal, to give full-bodied wines with great character. The reds are aged for at least 12 months in oak barrels originating from different parts of the world to increase their complexity and structure.
These exquisite wines arise at the end of a creative process developed from the stage of grape cultivation in the vineyard, up to the aging of the wine in the bottle. The name Origini represents the origins of winemaking in this region, thousands of years ago.
Our Noble collection has a special place in our portfolio. It is composed of two great blends: Noble Five, a blend of 5 black grape varieties (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Feteasca Neagra, Syrah), and Noble White, a blend of 3 white grape varieties (Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Muscat Ottonel). Each of these special wines carries the personal touch of our winemaker and is destined for both the domestic and international markets.
Noble Five is obtained from grapes chosen from our best parcels. Each variety is vinified separately and then aged in oak barrels for 9 to 12 months, to acquire the perfect balance and structure.
Noble White is a refined blend of noble white grapes, which benefited from the excellent climatic conditions and the terroir which can be found in the Dealu Mare region. The greenish yellow colour and the vibrant taste of tropical fruit make Noble White a great partner for delicate foods.

The wines from our Organic collection are produced only in limited quantities, after many processes which are mostly done by hand in Budureasca vineyard.
We have chosen to develop our own organic wines, on a limited parcel, in order to maintain everything that is pure in our nature. We have obtained here ecological grapes for organic wines of the finest quality.
Vine cultivation in an ecological system means harmonizing the natural elements inherited from Mother Nature in the form of soil, water, air, and sunlight. These are the only ingredients, naturally harnessed without interfering with fertilizers, pesticides or other chemical substances.
Exuberant is our collection of medium-dry wines dedicated especially to special events, anniversaries, or any social party where wine is to be consumed among family or friends. The range contains 3 different varieties: a white blend - Exuberant Blanc, a rose blend – Exuberant Rose, and a red wine blend – Exuberant Noir.
The three wines are all D.O.C certified and have fruity characteristics. Their alcohol content is slightly lower than usual, which makes them very suitable for consumption during various events.
The name of this range signifies exuberance (hence the name), a feel-good mood that is the essence of every party or celebration. The modern, colorful label is also designed in a way as to further enhance the feeling of joy and happiness.
Prima Stilla (from Latin - ‘First Drop’) is the first sparkling wine produced by Viile Budureasca and is primarily created to be savoured in restaurants, clubs and other dining venues. This sparkling wine is bound to shine in every setting that is inspired by joy, modernity, youth spirit, and optimism, where it will capture everyone’s attention.
The grapes were harvested manually and early, when they had not yet reached their full maturity, thus allowing us to obtain a high acidity and a type of effervescence which is typical for sparkling wines of premium quality.
Produced using the traditional method (also known as 'Champenoise'), with double fermentation − 4 months in the tank and 18 months in the bottle − these great sparkling wines have developed a fine, delicate, and consistent bead, which can last up to 4 hours.
Budureasca Shine is a collection of sparkling wines produced in Italy from grapes harvested from our vineyards in Dealu Mare. These wines were created using the Charmat method, which means that the wine was fermented exclusively in stainless steel tanks. The result is a lighter type of sparkling wine, more fruity and fresh. It’s easier to drink while being less bubbly and less acidic.
By perfecting this wine in Italy, using our grapes and the technology and experience of the ones who perfected the famous Prosecco wines, we’ve honored a big part of our history. More than 2000 years ago the Dacian people were united with the advanced Roman civilization creating the Romanian nation. And here we are again joining our values to create these high-quality wines.
This collection is composed of two sparkling wines. A White Brut obtained form 100% traditional Romanian Feteasca Alba grapes, and a Rose Dry, created from 50% Pinot Gris and 50% Pinot Noir grapes. The name 'Shine' was chosen to represent the joyful and fresh spirit of these wines.
The story of 8 Barrels is very interesting. Initially, this wine was created to mark the birthday of the President of China. The gift was a real success and received great appreciation. Because of this, we decided to include 8 Barrels in the winery's portfolio.
The label of the wine is one of the main attractions, describing the famous Chinese dragon entwined with the wolf-headed snake, the ancient battle flag of the Dacians. Together, the two symbols form the number 8, which marks the eight oak barrels carefully chosen by our winemaker, Stephen Donnelly, to create this exquisite blend.
We created 8 Barrels from 88% Shiraz, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Merlot. This wine is matured for 12 months in oak barrels.
The Dark Count of Transylvania – is he a creature of darkness, or a nobleman condemned to eternal damnation? In their search for the truth, Dracula’s lovers will face their deepest fears, and, venturing into the unknown, they will meet the seductive personality of The Count.
Dominated by their curiosity and tangled in the game of seduction and deceit, the three Maidens step on the forbidden land of the Dark Castle, where The Count eagerly awaits them. In this adventure, appearances can be misleading and potentially fatal – because love, seduction, and dark impulses form a deadly combination.
The Maidens of Transylvaia collection contains three dry wines created from romanian grapes form the authentic Fetească family: Fetească Albă, Fetească Regală and Fetească Neagră. The red wine is partly aged in oak barrels, and the white wines are fresh and aromatic due to the terroir found in our vineyards.
From the depths of the black castle, where The Dark Count exudes his unseen power and attraction for ages, we bring you The Dark Count of Transylvania, a new collection meant to explore the complexity of the legendary Dracula, the famous vampire who fascinated the whole world.
It is less known about Dracula that, beneath his dark urges, he also had a gentle side, dominated by kindness and elegance. This constant struggle between the light and dark within him made The Dark Count of Transylvania a fascinating symbol of duality and contrast. A game of dangerous love, where the romantic affair between the Count and his lovers (Maidens) only exists at the limit between attraction and repulsion.
This range contains both dry and medium-dry wines, created from Romanian and international grape varieties. Some of the wines, especially the red ones, have been aged in oak barrels.
Our miniatures range is meant to offer our customers the same quality found in the typical 75cl bottle in a smaller format, of 187ml (approximately the volume of one glass of wine). This is the perfect chance to experience our best wines with your favorite lunch or dinner.
